Which one?
There are numerous Churches and your first question is probably: “Which one?” This is a great question and one you should not answer carelessly. To help with this question, we would like to tell you about us and what we believe and why you would want to attend this fellowship.
First, we believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God. We get our beliefs from the Bible and the Bible alone. II Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” We use the Word of God for the following:
- Doctrine: Instruction on living as God desires.
- Reproof: Showing wrong in our lives.
- Correction: The removal of error in our lives.
- Instruction in righteousness: Teaching us how to live a life for God
In following these principles, it will bring a person to perfection in Godly living and produce good works in their lives.
Tradition
After reading the previous, you might think “well don’t all Churches believe the Bible?” First, we must understand the Bible declares there is no private interpretation of the Word. II Peter 1:20 – 21 Knowing this first, holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. What does this mean? It means one person can’t say the scripture has a certain meaning and another state it means something different. There is no private interpretation when it comes to the Bible. Having said all that, yes, Churches claim to follow the Bible, but even the Jews in Jesus’ day claimed to follow the Law of Moses. However, Jesus called them out for putting their traditions higher than the Word of God.
Mark 7:7-13 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: 11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. 12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; 13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. We desire to lay aside tradition and focus on the Word of God. Desiring to know what God says to humanity
Is that it?
Is that all that separates you from other Church’s? No, that’s not all. We believe Jesus Christ is still active today as He was 2,000 years ago. We believe that He is still delivering people from the bondage of drugs, alcohol, perversion and many other addictions. We believe that He is still actively healing people of their sicknesses such as blind eyes being opened, the lame walking, the deaf hearing and many others.
In summary, we are a fellowship that focuses on the Bible and that alone. We believe God and His Word can change lives just like He did 2,000 years ago. If you have more questions or maybe questions regarding the Bible itself and just haven’t researched those questions. We would like to offer you a Bible Class. We conduct Bible Classes at a place of your choosing at a time that is convenient for these. Please contact us if you would like to enroll in a Bible Class.
