What We Believe (Summary)
Genesis through Revelation and everything in between.
God
There is one God who created all things. God made Himself known to humanity by becoming man. Jesus Christ was God in flesh, Emmanuel — God with us (Matthew 1:23; Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9-10; I Timothy 3:16 ).
The Gospel & Salvation
The gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 15:1-4) We become partakers with the gospel through repentance (death to a sinful lifestyle), baptism (burial with Christ) and receiving God’s Spirit (resurrection). (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16-18; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-6; Romans 6:1-5) Jesus referred to this gospel salvation as being born again of the water and spirit. (John 3:1-5)
Resurrection
Those who have been born again and have lived a life submitted to the lordship of Jesus Christ will be resurrected immortal at the time of the Second Coming of Jesus and will rule and reign with Christ in His kingdom (Revelation 5:9-10).
Eternal Judgment
Those who reject the gospel of Jesus Christ will be resurrected to appear at the great white throne of judgment. Even as the saved receive eternal life, the lost will receive eternal damnation. (Revelation 20:11-15)
Scripture
The Bible, in its original manuscripts, is the inspired word of God, and it reveals the will of God to the human race. The Holy Scriptures are the final authority in matters of faith and truth. (II Timothy 3:16)
