Our Story
From prayer walks to a permanent home — a journey led by God.
Northwoods Apostolic Church began with a vision and a burden for the people of our community. In May 2013, we started with prayer walks through Crivitz, meeting new faces and sharing the gospel message wherever God opened a door. Those early steps of faith revealed a growing need for a place to gather and worship together.
After prayer and planning, God provided in His perfect timing. The Crivitz American Legion graciously offered their building, and on Sunday night, September 14, 2013, we held our first service. Though it came sooner than we expected, it was exactly when God intended.
Over the next decade, we continued to grow in faith and fellowship. Then, on February 12, 2024, we closed on our first permanent building at 2026 County Road Q in Pound, Wisconsin. Our first official service in Pound was held on Sunday, May 12, 2024, marking a new chapter in our story — one rooted in prayer, perseverance, and purpose.
From the beginning, our focus has never changed: the Great Commission — sharing the good news that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again so that all may have eternal life with Him. In a world burdened by depression, addiction, abuse, and hopelessness, we proclaim that there is a better life in Jesus Christ.
Today, the church family continues to gather at our Pound location:
-
Sundays: 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
-
Thursdays: 6:30 p.m.
Every service is a celebration of what God has done — and what He’s still doing in the Northwoods.
