Northwoods Apostolic Church held their first service on Sunday night, September 14, 2013 at the Crivitz American Legion. The actual start of the Church happened May of that year with prayer walks throughout the community, meeting new people and spreading the gospel message. In meeting people, it became apparent that we may need a permanent meeting place in the future. Looking to that future, we started to get quotes on buildings and rooms. The American Legion of Crivitz graciously fit this bill with an offer that we could not refuse. In accepting that offer, it caused us to start services sooner than planned, but in God’s perfect timing.
On February 12, 2024, we closed on our first building located at 2026 County Road Q, in Pound, Wisconsin. We continued to meet in the American Legion building until our first official service in Pound on Sunday, May 12, 2024. It was from this date forward that we continue to meet in Pound.
Our focus was and is the great commission, the spreading of the good news. The good news is that Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose again that we may have eternal life with Him. In a world that is full of depression, suicide, drug addiction, alcoholism, physical and sexual abuse, and overall depravity, we want everyone to know they may have a better life in Jesus Christ.
The Church body continues to meet at 2026 County Road Q in Pound every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and also on Thursday’s at 6:30 p.m.
