Hope in November

As we draw closer to the election in the United States, we will see posts online and write-in’s to the newspapers, explaining why a candidate will make someone’s life better. The phone will be ringing with recording messages telling you why your vote for a certain candidate the way to vote.

However, does an elected official change your life for the better? Sure, maybe they will lesson taxes, but for the person who covets, no matter how much money they gain, they still will not have enough. Some may vote based upon government assistance, but does something handed out really change your life?

The truth is, no matter who is elected in November, our lives will pretty much remain the same. To those struggling with alcohol abuse, that abuse will still be there after November. The marriage that is suffering will continue to suffer. The drug addict will continue to be addicted. The depression in one’s life will still be there. The health that is failing in one’s body will still need fixing.

There is a reason why the election in November will not fix one’s life. It’s because the problems in our life are from our disobedience to the Word of God. Jesus Christ is the only one we can elect to our life that will solve our problems.

Luke 4:14-21 (NASB)

And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about Him spread through all the surrounding region.

And He began teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all.

And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read.

And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed,

To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”

And He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all the people in the synagogue were intently directed at Him.

Now He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

Have you been held captive by sin? The greatest pardon you can receive is from the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. For it is He who can truly set you free. It is He who can truly change your life. He can give you joy where there once was depression. He can give you love in a marriage that once had strife.

Today, make your vote count, elect Jesus Christ Lord over your life to experience the true change.

John 8:36 (NASB)

So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.

We vote to protect our freedom of religion - that it is not taken away by the radical left!! We vote for a strong military to defend our constitution. We vote for the protection of police who defend us from drug lords and thieves. We vote to keep children safe from sex trafficking. And much more that our government provides. Our spirituality is number one but we must protect our government. Please Vote.
