Crivitz School Adopts Bathroom Policy
July 26, 2024, 2:00 PM

I recently read in the Peshtigo Times (07/24/2024 Issue) of the Crivitz School Board having a “long hard discussion” on a certain policy change.  The article stated they were faced with “some extremely difficult decisions” regarding this policy.

The policy change was to allow individuals to use the bathroom of their choice based upon their “self-identification”.  Meaning, if you are a boy or girl at birth, but later feel you were the opposite gender, you could use the bathroom of your choice.

Unfortunately, not one board member had the boldness to stand against this despicable policy.  Of the five board members in attendance, four voted in favor and one abstained.  Not one had the boldness or wherewithal to say this is an immoral policy which endangers our children and decided to stand on truth.

As the article continued, you see how our government is corrupt and leading us into immorality.  Sure, it’s the local school boards decision, yet, if they reject this policy change, they will not receive Title IX Federal funding which goes towards special education.  Basically, the government is forcing the schools to make this change allowing boys to use girl’s bathrooms and vice versa.

The Bible states in I Timothy 6:10 that “the love of money is the root of all evil” and here we see the school board putting money ahead of the morality of our children.  Yes, we may have to go without some programs and services or use local tax increases for programs instead of a new building, but at least we can say we stood by a godly principle.

As it appears they wanted to appease their conscience after making a wrong decision, they commented there has not been an issue up to this point.  As this is a place of education, you would hope they would have done some research, rather than saying since there hasn’t been an issue yet, maybe there won’t be in the future.  A simple search will show all the incidents of sexual abuse that have taken place due to individuals using bathrooms of the opposite sex.  Instead, they chose to risk a young boy or girl being abused and scarred for life than to stand up for what is right.

In summary, it sounds as if the Crivitz school board, rather than fight for a moral principle, choose money over morals.  Proverbs 22:1, states “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches…”  It appears the school board chose riches over a good name.

Our official statement, to all the local parents, make the sacrifice and take charge of your children’s education.  Don’t allow strangers who possibly do not hold to biblical principles or standards to influence your children.  It’s time we stand up against this onslaught of immorality which is trying to "train up" our children in the way of hell.

Who cares? Close the door, do your business, wash your hands, back to class.

Absolutely blame the schools! I’m so sick and tired of people not taking a stand and letting the government walk all over us. They’re gonna keep doing it unless we stand up for our kids and that includes the school! Everybody’s so worried about the damn dollar! Start worrying about our kids! Take a stand.!!!!

Blame the correct group…it is not the board enforcing the rule. It is mandated by the state or they take away ALL funding for special ed and ALL of the services.
This is aimed at Crivitz…All other schools have the same thing going on. Have you questioned or put blame on Coleman, Peshtigo, Marinette, Green Bay Schools, Madison…
The board was not happy about this decision…but losing that much state funding is not realistic for ANY district.
It saddens me that the blame is on a district that cares for all students.
Have you seen that they implemented a program to feed all students breakfast and lunch? They care…
Go to a board meeting and listen…talk to the board members. They care…

Before you talk badly about the board and the whole school, contact the superintendent for the proper information. This is a federal law, not something they pulled out of the butt.

To the comment of it not being an easy decision for the board. Actually, when you follow God’s Word and understand there are blessings in this route, it is an easy decision.

The problem is so many elected officials do not have a biblical background and end up following a way that seems right to them. (Proverbs 14:12)

Crivitz is “not” not only district forced into this policy. A neighboring district has non gender bathrooms already.
This was NOT an easy decision for the board members. Listen to the whole meeting and their comments.

Doesn't matter
You are talking about crivitz! This school has always been money motivated. It's always been...who has the right name. So those on the school board, are either weak in general, or don't want to step on the toes of those "with the right name". It's sad that it's been like this for years and nothing has changed. I am glad my grands don't attend this school, but feel horrible for those of you that do. The school board should NOT be the ones to make a decision in regard to your children's safety, it should be a community vote.

More families may homeschool. Understandably so. Praying for American schools.

I think it may be time for school board leaders that are willing to make. A change that will protect our children and grand children from possible harm in a matter we don't want for either sex.to happen. Then the school board will have a lot to answer for and possibly a chance of getting sued and more.....

Thank you for sharing this with us. Many of us don’t read the paper. I’m wondering if they even sent an email to the parents. As last time there was an issue with a questionnaire that the students had to participate in , the parents got an email so Kate that they didn’t have time to respond, or they get one at all. Just makes me wonder what else is being pushed without knowledge of parents. sad!

Just another reason to support school choice and homeschooling.
Thank you for making your opinion known.
