Have you ever squeezed the toothpaste tube and more came out than you preferred? Because of its design, you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube and it seems like a complete waste. Over the years they have tried to fix this dilemma. I remember they came out with a toothpaste pump. Even then, you still could dispense more than was needed and as far as I know, discontinued the product.
I’m reminded of a friend who had a poor life which looked wasted. He was hooked on drugs and had nothing going for him. If you would ask anyone who knew him, they would agree, his life was wasted, and he was not a productive member of society. In fact, they would probably agree there was no hope. It was as if he squeezed everything good for his life out and it looked unrepairable.
However, he came to a Pentecostal camp meeting and was filled with the Spirit of God. Soon after he was baptized in the name of Jesus and God started to put the toothpaste back into the tube. He went from a High School drop-out to receiving his GED, getting a decent job, and growing in his career. Today he has a well-paying job, nice house, beautiful family and a relationship with God. What happened is when it looked impossible, God stepped in to His life.
Have you ever felt this way about your life? It’s like it has exploded and it seems impossible to fix? You let too much toothpaste out of the tube of your life and there is nothing you can do to put it back in the tube? The good news is, God works in the impossible.
Luke 1:37
For with God nothing shall be impossible.
When it comes to God, it doesn’t matter how much toothpaste has come out of the tube, He is able to put it back. No matter how much of a mess your life is, when you put your life in obedience to His Word and apply His principles, He can put your life back on track.
Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The very first scripture we read in the Bible describes God as a creator. Too often we hear of God’s judgment, yet we need to understand He was first a creator before a judge. When we allow the Creator in our life, he can create something out of the mess.
Are you willing to allow God to create something special in your life? Are you tired of the brokenness which has overtaken your life? Allow God to put the toothpaste back in the tube of your life.
